Visual communication
Our visual communication makes complex ideas accessible and inclusive
At Community Works, we design visual communication materials that enable people to understand and contribute to complex projects. For nearly a decade, we have developed resources that translate technical concepts into clear and engaging formats. Especially for communities from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Our work supports accessibility and inclusion across diverse settings, including Community organisations, research institutions, universities, and training providers.
We are especially experienced in producing manuals and toolkits that empower organisations to work more effectively with communities and partners. These tools support the scaling of successful programs, helping them reach more people with greater impact.
Examples include:
- Human Rights Friendly School Package, in partnership with Amnesty International, 2016.
- StrongMinds Operational Manual 2021
- Operational Handbook fo Rangoonwala Community Centre 2014 to 2015
- Settlement Services International 2022 to 2023
Community Works acknowledges the First Nations people upon whose lands we operate. We recognise that this land was never terra nullius. Their land was never ceded, given up, bought or sold. We recognise continuing connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to their land, language, waters, sky and culture. We pay our respects to Elders, past present and emerging.
