Community Works specialises in capacity building, with a focus on developing and strengthening practical skills within organisations, project teams, and local governance structures
We have offered capability building support in:
- Replicating and scaling successful projects and programs, using our licence with Spring Impact.
- Strengthening community mental health, in partnership with Javeriana University in Colombia. Our team includes a certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor.
- Promoting health among Aboriginal health workers, through collaboration with the National Best Practice Unit for Tackling Indigenous Smoking.
- Delivering cross-cultural conflict resolution training, including work with James Cook University.
- Enhancing governance in community organisations, particularly in collaboration with Ninti One Ltd.
Community Works acknowledges the First Nations people upon whose lands we operate. We recognise that this land was never terra nullius. Their land was never ceded, given up, bought or sold. We recognise continuing connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to their land, language, waters, sky and culture. We pay our respects to Elders, past present and emerging.
